The apartment is in the second oldest XVIIth century house in Gstaad from 1657 situated on it's main street, Promenade, within walking distance of two ski lifts (Eggli and Wispile). Being in the middle of the village, a car is not necessary. There is a ski bus to take you to the slopes if you do not wish to walk one hundred meters from the house and the train station for further slopes is under a three minute walk (transport included in the regional ski pass).
The eighty square meter (861 square feet) two bedroom/sitting room apartment is furnished in XVII - XVII and IXXth century antiques.
The main bedroom has a double Charles Xth sleight bed and second bedroom a single Empire sleigh bed, making it perfect for three, an extra bed can be added for a fourth person thus crowding the second bedroom room a bit.
There are two hanging closets and three chests of drawers for clothing. Skis can be left in basement.
The bathroom is spacious with two wash basins, bath tub with hand held or attachable shower and loo.
There is a California style kitchen with counter in the Entrance/reception of the flat. Oven - electric range - micro wave - refrigerator and dishwasher. There are two televisions one in the bedroom and one in the sitting room.
Being a XVIIth century house the ceilings are low in the sitting room at a meter eighty seven (1,87 meters or 6.14 feet) and higher, two meter six (2,06 meters or 6.79 feet) in both bedrooms which is to be taken into account if one is tall.
The second bedroom has a balcony giving onto the promenade which must be the most photographed one in the village due to it's uniqueness.
